Danger, Danger!, Will Robinson!
Named only 'The Robot', the 'environmental control' robot from the Robbinson families JUPITER II spacecraft is very well known to sci-fi fans.
Not to be confused with 'Robby' from Forbidden Planet, this robot dominates quite a number of the 'Lost in Space' episodes. It teams up with the
crypic Doctor Smith, though the young Will Robinson manages to prevent it from distroying the ship early on in the first series.
It would be best
to obtain pictures from the internet to show the correct detailing , as the Moebius instructions are rather inaccurate. Great care needs to be taken
in gluing the top transparent dome together without fogging the clear plastiic. The man body was sprayed enamel silver, legs , light grey. as were the arms.
Silver was used to pick out a lot of details as well. the Dome, fluted circular part and the main body can be set to rotate freely or
glued in place.
The original robot is still in existance , with the same actor who tours science fiction conventions in character.
